![]() Two examples of how to properly introduce graphic adventures on the device. I would also HIGHLY recommend both Beneath a Steel Sky and Broken Sword for iPhone however. Particularly Monkey 2 which features the added bonuses of an unlockable art gallery and of course the commentary, which is missing in the iPhone version. I would definately go for the Steam versions(or consoles). Again, Broken Sword, which has equally detailed and redrawn assets just pops off the iPhone with crisp and clear pixel art. It’s a night and day difference to the Xbox(and I assume PC) versions. The enhanced visuals just come across very blurry and occasionally hard to read the detail. Released in the wake of Tales, The Secret Of Monkey Island: Special Edition was always going to do one of two things: honour and celebrate the legacy of its predecessor, or stamp it with an ugly. Monkey 2 on iPhone fixes the interface, but it really doesn’t scale well to the iPhone screen. Especially in light of Broken Sword and Beneath a Steel Sky which have FAR superior interfaces. I beat the first Monkey Island remake on Xbox, but I tried the iPhone lite version and was really taken back at how abysmal I found the interface to be. I’m downloading the lite version from the App Store right now, hopefully that gives me my answer. If the game is frustrating to play on the device, or is just better on the PC, then I’ll get it on Steam. The question is, though, should I get it from Steam, or on my Touch? I quite like playing games on my Touch, I can play on the bus, or in bed when my GF falls asleep, or wherever. I really enjoyed Hector: Badge of Carnage on my iTouch, and I think I’d like to play through these Monkey Island games.
